    Affiliate Marketing

As I work with clients who have purchased The Renegade Network Marketer ebook, I am finding that many don't quite understand affiliate marketing.  Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn a passive income while buidling your mlm and/or internet marketing business.

Here is an example of what I mean. I came across a home business tax help book called It's How Much You Keep That Counts! Not how much you Make.  I found this book to be extremely helpful and decided to recommend it to fellow networkers.  I liked the book well enough to want to promote it either way, but I decided to see if it was connected with an affiliate program.  I went on the author's site, and sure enough, I could affiliate myself.  All in the world that means is that I signed up as an affiliate (cost=O) and received a special affiliate ID number.  When I link to the sales page for this book, my affiliate number is embedded in the link and if someone else chooses to buy the book through my link, I earn a commission.

Some affiliate commissions are very small, perhaps less than a dollar, while others might be in the hundreds of dollars depending on the company and the product.  But when you multiply those small amounts of money by hundreds of people, then thousands, it can add up to a tidy little sum.

Part of the reason this is especially important for those of you who are my  Renegade clients because you already have an affiliate system waiting for you as part of your purchase of the ebook.  Listed are 30-plus affiliates, all representing some high value tool for the home business entrepreneur.  Because these affiliates are grouped within The Renegade System, it is not necessary to promote each of the products represented.  Instead, someone who purchases the ebook from you, for example, would then be associated with your affiliate number and you would earn commission for any product they might buy from any of the affiliates.

You'll notice that when I write, I frequently make reference to various resources.  I am affiliated with most of them.  I am very careful not to promote anything that I don't either use myself, or of which I don't have a good working knowledge. Knowing that not every resource will be of value to all clients, I want to be in a good position to answer questions as they arise, and help individuals find the resources that will best help them in their business.  The more often you see me mentioning a particular product or resource, the more helpful it has proven to be to the most people with whom I work.

The Renegade System takes care of tracking your affiliate income for you, which saves a lot of time.  However, if you have not purchased the book, and don't plan to in the foreseeable future, you can look in to affiliate marketing yourself.  The next time you come across a product or resource which you feel would be helpful to your target market, check to see if the company has an affiliate program.  You will usually find an "affiliate" link on the home page.  If you choose to follow this route, check back often with each affiliate company to keep track of your earnings as well as tracking which of your advertising methods are resulting in people clicking on your link and making the purchase.
